According to a lawsuit set forth by an anonymous plaintiff, Jay-Z and Combs raped her when she was 13 years old at an MTV VMA afterparty in 2000. In light of the allegations, Jay-Z is allegedly trying to distance himself from Combs.

Jay-Z and Sean “Diddy” Combs had a friendly relationship before Combs’ arrest in September 2024. However, the true nature of their friendship is largely unknown. While the hip-hop moguls ran in the same social and professional circles (and Jay-Z attended Combs’ birthday party), Jay-Z is allegedly trying to distance himself from Combs after Combs’ arrest. Agents arrested Combs for racketeering, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution, and he heads to trial in May 2025.

Jay-Z vehemently denied the allegations outlined in a lawsuit against him. The allegations state he and Combs raped a 13-year-old in 2000. A source told DailyMail.com that Jay-Z has “zero loyalty” to Combs and will do what it takes to “clear his name.”

“Jay-Z would absolutely throw Diddy under the bus if that is what it took to clear his name and walk away from this,” the insider alleged. “He has zero loyalty to Diddy. The moment Diddy was arrested, Jay-Z scrubbed him from his existence. He is going after [lawyer Tony] Buzbee for himself and not for anyone else.” Tony Buzbee is a Texas-based lawyer representing the woman with allegations against Jay-Z and Combs.

“The only thing that he cares about is him never stepping foot inside a jail cell and his family being safe,” the insider continued. “Jay-Z is extremely powerful and will deploy any tactic necessary.”

A second source verified that Jay-Z plans to do what it takes to defend himself.

“Jay-Z is more than ready to throw Diddy under the bus to defend himself if that is what it takes and doesn’t want anything to do with his lawsuits,” the second source told the publication. “Any notion that Jay is trying to help Diddy by going after Tony Buzbee is false. He doesn’t care about Diddy.”

In late 2024, footage showing Sean “Diddy” Combs attacking then-girlfriend Casandra “Cassie” Ventura leaked. The footage appeared to show Combs running out of his hotel room in a towel and physically assaulting Ventura. Federal prosecutors used the video to show how Combs was a danger to women.

The second source who spoke to DailyMail.com said Jay-Z felt “appalled” by the video footage.

“Jay was appalled by the Cassie video, which is why he is adamant that he and Diddy weren’t friends, as he didn’t really know what he was capable of,” the source explained. “The video was a deciding factor for Jay when announcing that he and Diddy weren’t close.”

However, defense attorney Alex Shapiro claimed that the prosecutors “invented” the narrative with the footage. He claimed the video “omits footage corroborating the defense account,” according to ABC News.

Jay-Z’s lawyer, Alex Spiro, told Us Weekly that his client “has nothing to do with” Sean “Diddy” Combs. According to Spiro, Jay-Z and Combs’ relationship was purely professional.

“Mr. Carter has nothing to do with Mr. Combs’ case or Mr. Combs,” Spiro said. “They knew each other professionally for a number of years. Just like in all professions, people know each other. At the music awards, they support each other. If you go to the NBA All-Star game, they support each other. That’s just how professions work. There is no closer association between any of them. That’s also a matter of fiction.”

On January 10, Haack and her design partner, Kylie Wing, joined Jeff Lewis on Radio Andy’s Jeff Lewis Live. After meeting through a mutual friend, the duo created Christina & Kylie, a design firm dedicated to serving luxury homeowners in Orange County. According to their website, Haack and Wing have completed several renovations together with many more on the way.

Before they cut to the serious stuff, Lewis told Haack, according to Instagram, “I’m going to ask you a question, and you tell me which ex of your three exes applies.” The real estate speculator continued, “Who is the best dressed?” Haack immediately responded, “Tarek,” and laughed. Lewis asked, “Best travel companion?” And the 41-year-old replied, “None. Myself.” “Best in a crisis?” Lewis questioned. “I don’t know,” Haack stated. “I guess, Ant.” Then things got weird.

Lewis asked Haack, “Best kisser?” and she shook her head back and forth and burst out laughing, “I can’t.” Lewis pushed, “If you had to pick someone. What do you think, Kylie?” Wing replied, “I have secondhand cringe.” Lewis pushed Wing further, saying, “She’s not going to answer this, so who do you think was the best sex, Kylie? Lewis didn’t keep things light for long. The radio host asked if Haack’s divorce will be finalized soon. “[We’re] not even close,” Haack responded. “We’re going to be going to trial I hear.” The HGTV star divulged that Hall “doesn’t want to do mediation.” Taking a sarcastic tone, Haack stated, “It’s going to be fun. Can’t wait.” She continued sharing that the 44-year-old asked her for money and that she’d already given him some funds. “Then he bought a Bentley,” she told Lewis. “I gave him money to live and he bought a Bentley but he also doesn’t have a job so,” she trailed off.

Notably, when Hall filed for divorce on July 12, 2024, he requested spousal support, according to Us Weekly. Haack responded 11 days later with a request for sole access to their Newport Beach residence and two Tennessee properties. They both want the other to pay their legal fees. Haack does not want either party to receive spousal support.

The mother of three was previously married to Tarek El Moussa from 2009 until their separation in 2016. They share two children. Haack married Ant Anstead in December 2018, and they share one child. The former couple finalized their divorce in June 2021.

Sadly, they couldn’t make their relationship work. According to a source, Kim Kardashian “stepped up” to help Simpson through the painful separation. Here’s what the insider alleged.

Jessica Simpson broke the news about her divorce from Eric Johnson on Jan. 14, 2025. “Eric and I have been living separately navigating a painful situation in our marriage,” Simpson stated to People. “Our children come first, and we are focusing on what is best for them. We are grateful for all of the love and support that has been coming our way, and appreciate privacy right now as we work through this as a family.”

This announcement didn’t shock fans. Insiders told People in November 2024 that Simpson and Johnson were experiencing a serious rift.

“She’s working on music and splits her time between Los Angeles and Nashville. Eric spends all of his time in L.A., where the kids go to school,” the source claimed. “Jess and Eric very much live separate lives.”

In December 2024, a source told Life & Style that Simpson didn’t want to divorce Johnson but felt she was running out of options. “Her divorce from Nick [Lachey] was beyond tough, and there were no kids involved, so she knows this will be 10 times worse,” the source alleged.

The insider added that Kim Kardashian became “front and center” in her life to help her through her split. “[Kardashian] really stepped up to be there as someone to talk things through with,” they continued. “She’s been brutally honest about how painful it was for her to separate her family, but at the end of the day, she does feel divorce was the right option, so she’s giving Jessica hope that if she does go down that path there can be a light at the end of the tunnel.”

The A Simple Favor sequel is still on. Director Paul Feig is calling out an internet investigator’s “total BS” claim Blake Lively’s legal battle with her It Ends With Us co-star and director Justin Baldoni is putting A Simple Favor 2 in jeopardy. Ahead, Feig’s response. Plus, when he expects the follow-up to the 2018 thriller to premiere.

‘A Simple Favor 2’ director calls shelving claim ‘total BS’

Feig, the director behind A Simple Favor and A Simple Favor 2, pushed back against internet investigator Eric B’s claims in an X thread that Amazon shelved the movie in light of Lively and Baldoni’s legal battle.

“This is total BS,” Feig replied (via Entertainment Weekly). “Sorry. The movie is finished and coming out soon. Don’t believe anything you read on social media these days.”

A Simple Favor is based on Darcey Bell’s novel of the same name. The movie follows Lively as a chic, mysterious mom who befriends a blogger (and fellow mom), played by Anna Kendrick, before going missing.

“The movie is awesome, and Blake and Anna turn in amazing performances,” Feig said of the sequel. “I can’t wait for you all to see it. Stay tuned for more details. A Simple Favor 2 is coming soon!”

Eric B’s initial post claimed A Simple Favor 2 was shelved because of “Blake Lively’s refusal to promote — amid her messy legal battle with Justin Baldoni — and growing tensions with Anna Kendrick” although the movie had “glowing test screenings.”

Post-production is why ‘A Simple Favor 2’ doesn’t have a release date, not Lively’s legal case

Eric B replied, asking Feig to “clarify” why the A Simple Favor sequel doesn’t have a release date. His answer? What happens after filming wraps, post-production.

“My friend, it’s called post production [sic], which generally takes over half a year at least when you factor in editing, scoring, special effects, sound mixing, close captioning, and all the technical quality control that has to be done,” Feig said. “Our post schedule always had us finishing everything by mid-January.”

“Movies don’t come out the second they’re finished because the studio spends the previous year deciding the best date to release it,” the director continued. “We’ve always planned on something in the spring/summer of this year. That’s how movies work. I hope this helps.”

So, look out for A Simple Favor 2 in a matter of months.

Feig also showed his support for Blake Lively

Also in his response, Feig voiced support for Lively, who in December 2024 accused Baldoni of sexual harassment on the It Ends With Us set alleging he orchestrated a smear campaign against her.

“I’ve now made two movies with Blake, and all I can say is she’s one of the most professional, creative, collaborative, talented, and kind people I’ve ever worked with,” Feig said. “She truly did not deserve any of this smear campaign against her. I think it’s awful she was put through this.”

Lively filed a legal complaint against Baldoni, his production company Wayfarer Studios, and publicists, in December 2024. First reported by The New York Times, Baldoni has since denied the allegations and is suing for libel.

Additionally, Baldoni’s lawyer has said he plans to sue Lively. Meanwhile, Baldoni is also facing a lawsuit filed by his former publicist, Stephanie Jones, who is accusing him of conspiring against her.

Tom Holland and Zendaya Are on the ‘Same Page’ About Having Children

“Tom really wants to have a family. And [he] and Zendaya are on the same page about having kids and wanting to start a family together,” the source said. “Tom is absolutely in love with her [Zendaya]” and is “very focused on building a family and his career.”

“Tom is [a] very old-school English guy in the way that he wants to have a family and have kids relatively young,” the insider added.

Holland wants to step away from acting when he has children

Although the Spider-Man star is “very focused on building a family and his career” at the moment, he’s fully prepared for his life to look different when he becomes a parent. In a January 2025 Men’s Health cover interview, Holland not only discussed sobriety but also revealed his plans to take a step back from acting when children enter the picture.

“When I have kids, you will not see me in movies anymore,” he told the outlet. “Golf and dad. And I will just disappear off the face of the earth.”

Zendaya, for her part, has also opened up about having children in recent interviews. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly while promoting Challengers in October 2024, the former Disney star shared that “having children or getting married” are “all things I want and I’m looking forward to, they just haven’t happened quite yet.”

After Zendaya stepped out at the Golden Globes wearing a diamond ring on *that* finger, which quickly ignited engagement rumors online, Holland’s father Dominic shared some details about how the Uncharted star popped the question.

Apparently, it involved a long checklist including getting permission from Zendaya’s dad, getting a ring (a stunning five-carat diamond ring from UK jewelry designer Jessica McCormack), and knowing exactly what he’d say and wear for the special moment.

“Tom, as you know by now, was very incredibly well prepared,” Dominic wrote in a Patreon post (via People). “He had purchased a ring. He had spoken with her father and gained permission to propose to his daughter. Tom had everything planned out…When, where, how, what to say, what to wear.”

The reportedly low-key proposal happened between Christmas and New Year’s although Holland had wanted to “propose for a while now,” according to a source. While it might’ve surprised the public, Holland and Zendaya’s engagement wasn’t a surprise to loved ones. “Everyone close to them knew the engagement was happening.”

As for what will likely be a star-studded wedding for the pair, Zendaya and Holland aren’t in a hurry to the altar. They’ve “both got a lot of Hollywood projects and commitments coming up,” an insider told TMZ.

Christopher Nolan Felt Anne Hathaway Deserved Her Own Catwoman Movie

The Batman franchise welcomed Anne Hathaway into its universe when she played Catwoman in Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises. Nolan’s last Batman movie was the only time she sported the outfit. But the director was so impressed by her performance that he felt audiences should’ve seen more of her.

Hathaway managed to impress Nolan with her interpretation of Catwoman since their first audition. Initially, however, Hathaway had prepared to test for a completely different character than Selina Kyle. She was under the impression she was auditioning for Harley Quinn.

“I came in and I had this lovely Vivian Westwood kind of beautiful but mad-tailoring top with stripes going everywhere,” Hathaway once said in an interview with BBC Radio 1. “And I wore these flat Joker-y looking shoes. And I was trying to give Chris these crazy little smiles. About an hour into the meeting he said, ‘Well, I’m sure I don’t have to tell you this, but it’s Catwoman.’ And I was like shifting into a different gear, thinking, ‘Now ok, we’re slinky. We’re slinky. And I hate my shirt. I love my shirt, but I hate it right now. We’re slinky.’”

The fact that she was able to secure the role despite the miscalculation was a testament to her abilities. The Princess Diaries star would go on to receive rave reviews for her performance. Nolan, who had a front row seat to Hathaway’s acting, couldn’t help but gush about his star’s talent.

“Anne is incredibly precise and articulate about the psychology of the character. She’s really built it from the ground up, it’s just a delight to watch her perform,” he once told Access (via The Guardian). “The thing she does in those heels is not to be taken lightly. She’s an incredible character and we’re very excited to see her and hopefully we’ll leave people wanting more.”

During the interview, Nolan commented on what he’d thought about a potential Catwoman spin-off. That kind of experiment hadn’t been seen since Halle Berry’s film, which she felt was more appreciated in recent years. However, he was confident in Hathaway’s ability to do a solo Catwoman feature justice. Even if he wasn’t the director to do the job.

“For me, Gotham and these characters, I’m done. I’ve told our story and I’m moving on [but] I certainly think she deserves it – she’s incredible,” he said.

Anne Hathaway cried when she had to walk away from Catwoman

Hathaway couldn’t have been more excited about playing Catwoman, although she had trouble adjusting to the suit at first. She had her sights sets on the iconic character since she got her big break in The Princess Diaries. Even back then, she discussed how excited she’d be to play the DC anti-hero.

“It was funny for me because when I got my start, I kind of got my big break with The Princess Diaries and during the press rounds for that everyone asked me: ‘Did you always want to be a princess growing up?’ And the truth was, no I wanted to be Catwoman. And I think a lot of women feel that way. And the fact that I am actually her is such a dream come true. It’s such a pinch me moment. And the fact that I am Catwoman in Chris Nolan’s Gotham to Christian Bale’s Batman is unbelievably cool,” she said in a 2007 interview with Collider.

It appears that the role lived up to Hathaway’s expectations. So much so that Hathaway admitted she would’ve been eager to revisit the character and Gotham City.

“I would love it,” she once said according to Entertainment Weekly. “I actually, it’s so embarrassing, I was at a press Q & A thing the other night for a screening of The Dark Knight, and the moderator asked me, ‘So what was it like to say goodbye to the character?’ And I burst into tears, because I miss her. It just makes me cry. I miss her. I love Selena so much and I love her presence in my life and getting to… I’m crying again. So assuming there was enough Kleenex in the world, I would love to do a spin-off.”

The Gone Girl star touched on the influence his alcohol addiction had on his marriage, while revisiting his emotionally devastating divorce. But Miller reportedly didn’t appreciate how candid Affleck was during interviews about Garner.

“John is empathetic to Ben’s struggles with sobriety, but he worries about how Jennifer has once again become the focus. … The spotlight on Jennifer is intense and Ben needs to consider her feelings before speaking so publicly,” a source once said in an interview with Us Weekly.

The source further alleged that this wasn’t only what made Miller uncomfortable about Affleck and Garner’s relationship. Additionally, they claimed that Miller was nervous about the idea of the two getting back together.

“John believes Ben would remarry Jennifer if she wanted to get back together,” the source added. “John wants to marry Jennifer but knows she isn’t ready yet.”

Another source implied that, although his relationship with Garner is in a good place, Miller is still slightly concerned by Affleck’s presence.

“John has shown the patience of an absolute saint, he’s been so supportive and understanding of Jen’s situation with Ben,” a source told Life & Style not too long ago. “But at this point, even he’s hit the wall. Ben’s constant presence is very hard to take, John’s like the third wheel in his own relationship.”

“Even when the guy’s not around he’s calling and texting, it could be about the kids or an emergency, so Jen always answers,” the insider further alleged. “It’s obvious she adores him, and it’s always been understood, any man that dates her has to be okay with Ben.”

The source claimed that Affleck has no intention of minimizing the contact between himself and Garner.

“He’s a guy who is used to getting what he wants, and Jen has set the precedent that she will always be there so as long as he’s single and wants her attention he’s going to get it, or at least try to,” the source said. “And unless Jen can start holding her ground and start making her life with John a priority there’s a growing feeling among his friends that he won’t be able to take this situation much longer, something’s got to give.”

A source for InTouch also commented on how often Affleck relies on Garner for advice and emotional support. When Affleck was still married to Lopez, he allegedly continued leaning on his ex. It was even once rumored that seeing pictures of Affleck and Garner together was what prompted Lopez to break it off with the Daredevil star.

“Ben leans on her for everything, he’s got his own place but he’s still at her house all the time for family dinners and she never fails to send him home with a care package of food,” the source said. “She’s very concerned about his health, to the point where she reminds him when he needs to see the doctor and the dentist and even sends him vitamins to take because she’s convinced he doesn’t get enough healthy food when she’s not cooking for him.”

Denzel Washington wasn’t the only actor in his household to go Hollywood. All of his children are involved in the entertainment industry in some capacity. However, Washington’s wife, Pauletta, wasn’t really on board with their children becoming actors at first.

Pauletta wasn’t all that thrilled with her children following their parents’ footsteps. Like Denzel, Pauletta is also a successful actor in her own right. According to an interview Denzel did with Live with Kelly and Mark, he first met his wife while they were doing a project together. Given how intertwined acting is with their lives, it makes sense why Pauletta and Denzel’s kids would choose a similar path. However, if it was up to their mother, John David and his siblings would’ve chosen another profession.

“I was praying and hoping that none of them wanted to be actors. I think it’s in their blood,” Pauletta once told The Root.

Since Pauletta couldn’t seem to change their minds, she allowed her kids to follow their acting dreams under one condition.

“The only requirement was they had to go to college,” she said.

Their kids even pursued a variety of college majors that supported a non-acting future. However, over time, the Washington children found their way back to acting one way or another.

“My oldest daughter, Katia, graduated from Yale with a history major. My oldest son, John David, went to Morehouse. My baby girl, Olivia, went to NYU for acting. My baby boy, Malcolm, went to UPenn and started out finance but ended up in theater because he loved the history of theater and film. Now he just graduated from AFI as a director, and he’s working with Spike Lee on Netflix’s She’s Gotta Have It,” she said.

The acting advice Denzel Washington gave his kids

Denzel seemed just as supportive and proud of his kids becoming actors as Pauletta. He helped encourage his kids’ aspirations at a young age. One of his kids, John David, told his father at a young age that he wasn’t sure he wanted to be an actor — if only because he believed Denzel’s starpower would overshadow him. John David wanted people to know him for more than just the kid of a celebrity.

“I remember he said to me years ago, ‘Dad your shadow is so big and I don’t know if I can.’ I said, ‘My shadow is big? You’ve ever heard of Kirk Douglas?’ He’s like, ‘No.’ I said, ‘You’ve heard of Michael Douglas right?’ He said, ‘Yeah, Michael of course.’ I said, ‘Google Michael Douglas and then come back and talk to me about my shadow,’” Washington once said during a Q&A & according to The Hollywood Reporter.

That advice helped inspire confidence in John David and his siblings. However, Denzel would also offer his kids words of wisdom about honing their craft. Speaking from experience, The Training Day star asserted that it wasn’t enough to do television shows and movies to be good actors.

“I told them they have to get on the stage because that’s where you learn to act,” Denzel said in an interview with Sunday Times. “You don’t learn to act on TV; you don’t learn to act in movies. You learn to act on stage. TV and films are a director’s medium where they are in control.”

John David eventually took his father’s advice when he starred in the 2022 Broadway stage adaptation of The Piano Lesson. Although, before he hit the stage, he already had a successful filmography. He had his career breakthrough when he went from playing in the NFL to doing the NFL series Ballers.

John Lennon’s friend, Elliot Mintz, tried to help him in the early 1970s when he and Yoko Ono separated. Ono told him she wanted time apart, and he moved to Los Angeles. Mintz wasn’t exactly sure how well Lennon would bode on his own. After so many years of fame, Mintz said Lennon scarcely knew how to function.

When Mintz picked up Lennon from the airport, the musician appeared to have no idea how to use money. Mintz didn’t think this was entirely Lennon’s fault.

“John was functionally a child when it came to taking care of himself,” Mintz wrote in his book We All Shine On: John, Yoko, and Me. “This wasn’t his fault: he’d been a rock star since he was a teenager. His every want had been arranged for him virtually his entire adult life. He never learned to do his own grocery shopping, never paid a utility bill or mailed a package or involved himself in any of the myriad mundane tasks the rest of us spend so much of our daily lives mired in.”

Lennon traveled with May Pang, his assistant. The two began a romantic relationship during the separation from Ono. Mintz said she also worked to keep him alive.

“He was clueless about the most basic elements of human commerce, like money and how to buy stuff with it. But then, that was what May was for,” Mintz wrote. “Whatever other intentions Yoko may or may not have had for the assistant, her primary job in LA was to make sure John was properly fed and cared for, that all his basic needs — or at least most of them — were satisfied.”

John Lennon’s friend shared what he was like

Mintz was close with both Ono and Lennon. He shared what they were like as people.

“They were paradoxes, John and Yoko, filled to the brim with internal contradictions,” Mintz wrote. “That was the main thing I learned about them during those early years of our friendship.”

He noted that they were complicated. While they had many good qualities, they also had some less attractive traits.

“On the one hand, they could be incredibly sensitive, honest, provocative, caring, creative, generous, and wise,” he wrote. “On the other, they could be self-centered, desperate, vain, petty, and annoying. In John’s case, also shockingly cruel — even to Yoko.”

Elliot Mintz believes May Pang wasn’t as close with the musician as she has made it seem

Pang has spoken frequently about her romantic relationship with Lennon. While Lennon reunited with Ono in 1975, Pang claims she remained a part of his life. Mintz doesn’t seem so sure about that.

“She’s published several books about her affair with John, discussed the intimate details of it in documentaries, and given hundreds of interviews on the subject,” Mintz wrote. “And if you believe her account, you inevitably come away with the impression that for a time she was the red-hot center of John’s universe — that their romance was the axis around which the entire Lost Weekend revolved. I don’t doubt that she believes this to be true.”

He said Lennon never talked about his girlfriend.

“I can also tell you that after I dropped her and John off at [music manager Lou] Adler’s house — stopping briefly at a bank on the way to cash those traveler’s checks — I seldom bumped into her again in Los Angeles,” he wrote. “Perhaps even more tellingly, in all the years I knew John — all the way up to his final days — I cannot recall a single conversation in which he mentioned her name.”
